Feenix versus other vanilla projects

One of the unique values of Feenix, is the embracing and promoting of a healthy and fair competition at all times. Therefore you will never see any negative statement of any kind towards any competitor project. We are proud of what we have to offer ourselves and gladly invite you to join our experience.

One of the base principles of Feenix Project is to focus on and live by our own project and values. We respect others work while serving an example to others.

What does make Feenix unique, is that we do not depend on any other project (open or closed source) to be able to offer progressive development. We have worked on our gameserver for nearly 2 years, and can proudly state that for over a year we have been developing 100% independently without any external sources or projects.

Basic Rules

An overview

Feenix Server Project is a social coding and community project. We stand for a no-nonsense attitude, fair play, healthy competition and tolerance. With a large population as we have and are, it is evident that a clear set of rules to live by is needed to maintain an enjoyable and fair environment for everyone.

Feenix Server Team takes great effort in working and cooperating with all members. However, be aware that we do moderate our community. the graver the behavior, the less lenient we are. Raging at, rioting against, or any other kind of verbal abuse towards our team or community members, is never tolerated.

Please be aware, our rules may differ from retail rules in some cases. At most this is due to being a free to play private project, and our different state of management and offering of services

Common Sense

All rules created, are based on years of social and community interaction and management experience. Above all, they are based on common sense and we will always ask our members to use it!

Game Rules and Fair gameplay

Feenix team takes great effort in maintaining a pleasant, fair and authentic world environment for every member.

Therefore we actively monitor and take action against harmful matters as: Scams, Casinos, Excessive harassment/camping, Hacking, Cheating and Ninja looting

Every member who enters our project, is bound by our rules and terms of service, whether they have read and agree on these, or not. Please be aware, our rules may differ from retail rules in some cases. At most this is due to being a free to play private project, and our different state of management and offering of services

Hacking is taken as the use of any third party program that directly interacts with gameplay.
In most cases these are used to gaina certain behavior or feature that would not be accessible
without. Being found using any kind of hack on our realms wil always result in an immediate and
      permanent suspension from our services.

An exploit, in video games, is the use of a bug or design flaw by a player to their advantage in
a manner not intended by the game's designers. The existence of a bug never grants permission for
players to exploit it, neither will the presence of a bug ever justify its (ab)use.

Feenix Game Masters, or GMs, are our beloved volunteers. GMs are the overseers of the game world and watch over a server to solve problems, disputes, and sometimes punish people disobeying the Terms of Use Feenix has.

Game Masters are never to be be used for help with quests, asking for gold, gear or easy teleport. Neither should they be confused with Developers.

The Ticketing System

The ticket system as present, has been implemented for players to receive service and help. Feenix Team uses the ticketing system to assist members with in game issues on a voluntary base; Our Game Masters are in game around the clock to give members assistance when needed. VIP members (large supporters) are informed how to receive faster service as they financially carry the project for every other member who plays here free.

TLDR: Most common questions and answers

General Questions

Q: Many Servers shut down after a while! Will I waste my time on Feenix too?

A:  No. Feenix Server Project is active for years already. We have proven to be a stable and long term
project: We have been, and will be around for a long, long time.

Q: I have a character on retail or another Server, can I transfer to Feenix?

A:  No. Feenix is a Blizzlike server. Importing characters from other (fun) servers/projects is not Blizzlike.

Q: Can I transfer my characters on Feenix, from one realm to the other?

A:  No. We do not transfer characters from one realm to the other, as we see our realms as independant
      projects and communities.

Q: Is Feenix exactly as retail?

A:  We aim for a pure Blizz-like experience for all members. With some minor customizations. On some
realms we have a customizable experience rate. So also members who have less time to play the
game, can enjoy all content. All end-game content is aimed to be exactly as on retail.

Q: Does Feenix have bugs?

A:  Yes, same as all other privately hosted projects, we have bugs and glitches
However, we have access to a professional development team, working around the clock to ensure
that issues are caught and fixed in a fast rate. Over one and a half year of straight development on
performance and game features has brought us on our current no.1 position.

Q: Does Feenix have overpowered Donator Items?

A:  Feenix Server accepts donations. They are needed to keep our project alive and running
The rewards members can get for donating are not overpowered and will never be higher than the
game, realms progression. Neither are rewards cheap. Epic remains epic.

Most common in game questions

Q: Something works for others and not for me?

A: When you have issues as: Not seeing your spells, unable to tame beasts as hunter, or having
any other unusual issue that other members do not have, it is most likely your game cache
     interfering with your game play.

When encountering such issues, always delete your game client's Cache / WDB before asking
     Feenix Team assistance.

A detailed explanation how to clear your cache can be found here

Q: I have my gathering quest completed - but question mark is grey?

A:  You can safely abandon your quest, and retake it. You will now be able to complete your quest.

Q: I have my guild charter filled - but I can not turn it in?

A:  Put the charter in your first bag ( backpack ) and you will be able to create your guild.

Q: Everyone is shown as Unknown?

A:  Log out of the game and delete your Cache / WDB folder.

Q: I logged in at a crowded location or city, and I see no one?

A:  Move away from the location and relog from the server. Optionally you can delete your
      Cache / WDB folder.
